Happy Days is a 2009 45' by 10' Collingwood wide beam cruiser.
She has undergone a complete professional re-fit, and has only 200 hours on the engine. At 45' she is the perfect size for moving and mooring in a busy city centre like London. This boat handles like a dream and turns on a dime. The boat has amazingly high internal headroom of 2.10m, making her feel incredibly spacious.
Happy Days has been fitted to the highest standards. Top of the range Panasonic 240v solar panel combined with 2k Victron inverter and a large battery bank means few worries on power consumption. She has been designed to work on 240v electrics at all times and all lighting is LED.
A Morco F11 sealed flue water heater is installed which provides instant hot water, and complies with projected future changes to the gas safety regulations.
She was taken out of the water and re-blacked in June 2013, and will be sold with 4 years boat safety certificate.
Happy Days has been designed by a team – architectural designer and long term boat dweller - who understand the practicalities of living on a boat. She is reverse layout so you enter from the large square stern deck into an open plan kitchen/living area. There is a new fitted kitchen with solid oak worktops, easy close drawers, LPG gas hob and cooker, and plenty of storage.
In the living area there is a sofa bed and dining table, and a multi fuel Stovax fire with back boiler. Radiators in the bathroom and bedroom mean she is warm and toasty all year round. There is under floor insulation throughout.
The bathroom has slate floor tiles and a full size shower. The toilet is a plumbed in Dometic cartridge toilet with ceramic bowl, very practical where pump out systems can be difficult and expensive to empty. Book shelves and wardrobe run down the corridor, with space for a desk.
The bedroom has handcrafted solid beech steps and steel bow doors opening out onto the front deck. There is a full size double bed with new pocket sprung mattress, and easily accessible storage space underneath. There is a second wardrobe in the bedroom; both wardrobes have lighting inside.
There are wooden venetian blinds on all windows and portholes meaning privacy is maintained while letting as much light in as possible.
The simple open plan design maximises light and space, and retains the cosy, romantic feeling of life on board a boat.
